Announcing Jack Harris' Slide Presentation:
"1979, Ypsilanti at a Crossroads"
On March 5, 2023, the Ypsilanti Historical Society (YHS) honored Dr. Harris by presenting a restored version of his beautiful and important 1979 audio-slide presentation entitled, "1979, Ypsilanti at a Crossroads". Jack's audio-slide presentation was first presented at the1979 Ypsilanti Heritage Festival. The primary goal of his audio-slide presentation was to show how Ypsilanti’s historic preservation movement successfully saved and preserved many of its historic homes and historic structures by building on Ypsilanti’s past.
